Training & Workshops
EEO Management Solutions can customize workshops to meet your specific needs and state’s legal requirements. Workshops can be delivered in half-day or day-long formats.
Some of our most popular training topics include:
- Sexual and Discriminatory Harassment for Employees
This training program enables employees to recognize when their behavior is crossing the line. It covers definitions and examples of unlawful harassment, and also reviews employees' responsibilities pursuant to the organization's policies and procedures regarding harassment. In addition to sexual harassment, this course creates understanding and awareness regarding harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, and disability, as well as groups protected by state laws. It also covers harassment involving co-workers and third parties, and unlawful retaliation.
- Sexual and Discriminatory Harassment for Managers
In addition to the topics covered above, this class prepares managers to handle complaints and helps them to understand their responsibilities including: maintaining a work environment free of harassing behavior and working with Human Resources to prevent and address harassment. It also covers the issues of vicarious liability, confidentiality, and the effects of harassment on the victim, harasser and organization.
- Managers and the Law: The Basics of Managing Legally and Effectively
This interactive course covers all major EEO laws including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. It also reviews the application of these laws to the important management tasks of interviewing, managing performance, discipline and electronic communication. This program also helps managers understand their responsibilities to maintain a work environment free of discriminatory conduct, and is typically customized to include an organization's specific EEO policies and procedures. It can also cover other employment laws as requested and required by organizational needs.
